Some minor changes to their logo set. First, I replaced red with orange to match Edmonton, and I just thought it went better with the scheme. On the logos themselves, I deleted the shadow on the lettering, because I felt it made the logo much more cluttered.

The jerseys are based off the first edge uniforms for the Oilers. The only difference would be sleeve stripes I ran down the length of the sleeve. I also added piping, but other than that it's pretty toned down!

Providence Bruins

Now, I didn't want to just reuse the pro team's logos. But since the team is the Bruins also, I felt like I could clean up their look. The logo for Providence didn't get updated when the Bruins got their new logo. That was my starting point for my rebrand. I made the current Bruins B a P, and called that my primary. The alternate logo is actually a current logo, and it looks real nice. OH, I also replaced the black with brown.

The jerseys are different, too. I wanted to make the Bruins' Winter Classic jersey their full time set. I made minor changes, like the number outlines, but that's it. The home is a white version of the WC set, which I am also happy with.

Toronto Marlies

So this is the team I've noticed a lot because of the game. On their logo, they had a lighter blue. On the jerseys, they had silver outlines on the numbers. I felt like this would be a good team to model after the pro club. I combined all the blues to match the Leafs. Then made an alternate logo with the old Leafs logo, which the Marlies use behind the shield. I wanted something simple, so that's where I got that. The script is simply a strait one from the logo.

The jerseys, I did make them slightly different than the pro team. The sleeve stripes are the same, but I added off color shoulder yokes. Then did a stripe at the end of the sleeve and hem. Simplicity!

Next team will be the Providence Bruins!

United Hockey League

So I've gotten back to playing NHL 10 on xbox again. One mode I love is the Be A Pro mode. I decided to try to be a goalie, got drafted to Toronto, and sent to the AHL to get some practice in. Then I realized, how stupid and bad some team names are. That, and the fact there's several Canadian teams in the American Hockey League.

So screw Tradition, and I'm gonna try to rebrand or redesign the teams in the newly named United Hockey League.

This is my logo! Simple script over a circle, with the top part of the circle red, with maple leafs for Canada. Then the bottom has stars for the USA. The alternates are logos for Canadian teams, and then American teams. I did a UHL logo itself, then finally conference logos.

So I've been super busy in the last few weeks with school, and stuff, so I really haven't been doing concepts, which sucks. I need to get back to that.

Unfortunately, one of my good friends drowned last week, and he was THE best player of the sport I made up. We always talked about filming the game, and posting it on YouTube to spark interest. So I organized a game Saturday, and got the most people I've ever gotten to come play. We got the game on film, and now everyone is pumped about it.

Arkansas Razorbacks Rebrand

So I loved doing my Florida State concept so much, I wanted to try my hand on another college team rebrand.On this design message board, I started a contest for college logo rebrands, so I didn't have to do all the teams I wanted to redo myself!

So the logo above is a redraw and modernization of the razorback logo. I tried to make the lines and outlines consistent with the shape of the pig. I tried to make it look fiercer, and I feel like It did.

Below are the alternate logos, and scripts. The script was suppose to be sharp looking, and have the effect of a razorback, hence the marks. The baseball team uses an A logo, that is similar to the Braves' A, so I made it the A from the script for consistency. The last alt is a state logo, because the Razorbacks ARE Arkansas. They represent the whole state when they play.

So those are the logos! I have to do a uniform concept also, so I'll get that done sometime and post it, when I'm not busy!

2013 Winter Classic

I finally did something that I've had in mind for a long time!

So here is a concept for an all Florida Winter Classic. Obviously, it's a joke. The weather down there for New Years is about mid 60s, and Raymond James Stadium hosts a bowl game on New Years Day! But one can dream.

I took the Winter Classic script from the last 3 years, and some aspects over the years with the snowflakes, NHL logo, and puck. I did a beach scene, and a palm tree for the area, just for cliche effect.

The jerseys were the best part, and they were just silly. The Bolts' set is an old alternate I made last season with the Habs' stripes with Tampa Bay on the chest. The only difference is vintage white. The Panthers set has old 1920s stripes, and beige pants. I didn't want to do a throwback for Tampa, and Florida doesn't have that much of a vintage history, so Faux-backs will do!

Comment, everyone. I might do some more, I might not. You'll see.

Florida State alternate logos

Still working on the face, I'm working on the bacon face, and trying to make the face paint not look thrown together. Here are two alternate logos, and a script while I'm working. I'm going to make the feather on the Osceola logo match the one on the spear. I used some spear logos, the two official logos, and the nike spear. I wanted to update the logo from the link below, and thought of doing this with a state outline.

Two things I'm considering keeping as is, just as a personal opinion.

I seriously hate the way the football uniforms look. Personally the gold pants looks like watered down champagne, and I'm pretty sure they don't match the helmets. If I get in, the in the top 3 things to do is order this shirt. I love the colors. I wanted to originally use the Predators gold, but figured gold was too set in the history of the school, and the colors would be similar to the Gophers. I lightened it, and sort of made it into a "honey mustard" color. I like how it looks on the logos, but might change it when I do work on the football uniform, to make it a little more gold.

And I'm still leaning for the downward turned head. I see it as charging into battle, instead of looking up to the skies. Not sure, that's how I look at it.

Our new look

I thought that it would be really cool, if I made every part of my design umbrella have similar designs. I was looking to make a logo for myself that I could brand my logos, and make a portfolio(which I linked!) So a few days after I made the M logo, I realized how much better I could make Sports Logo Spot, and Stadia Arcadia look, especially if they were the same look.

I knew I could update Stadia easy, I would make a logo of an arena, like the old logo. I did that, loved it, then went to work on this blog's new logo. I settled on a pencil, reworked it to make it perfect, and finished. Then I wanted to make icons for them for the sidebar. I made a facebook one for the page, then I was making my last one, the one to my twitter.

Inkscape crashed.

I had to recreate every stupid logo. So I made these all twice! So that's a back story, I like it, but I'd love to get some reader(s)...(?) reactions.

What I've been up to!

So if you didn't know yet, I'm a senior in high school. The place I want to go to is Florida State, too bad I hate their current set. I would suck it up for a good education, but c'mon! Chief Osceola is pretty bad if you look at it. Since about Thanksgiving, I've been working on this logo.

I think an update is something they should look into, so I can buy many things with the logo on it. Personally, I think the Nike logos they made are better. So I envisioned a logo, which will be an alternate, and wanted to do a rebrand. I chose the current garnet, black, and a color halfway between Vegas gold, and Predator yellow. They have many different colors, and I wanted one set scheme. The logo I was most pleased with was Chief Osceola. He needed a facelift, because the current is just cluttered. I gave it facial features, like a jaw line, and nostrils. Anything to make it more person like. The feather is an actual feather too. I tilted the head down on my first update to make it seem as if he's charging in an ambush, or something less racist.

So I'm still working, but I wanted more than one post this month.

Steve Yzerman's NHL: Dallas

Dallas Stars

I really like their current logo, but I do think it is slightly outdated. That is what I wanted to do, update and simplify. Obviously an all green look would look great, and be a faux throwback to the North Stars, while the logo breaks away from that.

Just messing with the current, I made the gold part green, and the green part white. it actually looked real nice. Kind of what I was looking for, simplicity in the star. This is the first one that will actually be able to work in green and white. They don't have a good alternate, so since they're the only team in Texas, they get a Texas outline. The other alt logo is a circle logo which just kind of ties together all of the logos.

I love when jerseys don't have hem stripes while their sleeves do. The jersey looks really nice in my opinion. I wanted to do that sometime, and figured Dallas was a good opportunity since they don't have them now. Pretty simple, I guess. Monochrome green with the same font on the script.

Still planning on doing more.

Steve Yzerman's NHL: Los Angeles

Los Angeles Kings
I've always thought that the crown logo was overcluttered. Then they release the new set and it is such a step down logo wise. To me, the Kings never have really had a logo set that I truly love. I went out to work on that stat. Just like the Sharks and Lightning, I had to make it simple and bold.

Instead of making a logo from scratch, I thought the crown's shape was just what I wanted. It was just how I'd use it. I changed the points, even though it all looks slightly the same. Instead of circles, I used diamonds. I thought it looked more like jewels. I just went with what will get the look across that it is a crown, without being too out there with it. Simplicity is the key. I needed an alt, so i just went with the shape they used for a time with a similar color scheme. I also introduced a new script. The same is found on the numbers, which you will see.

On the jerseys, I've had this idea the whole time. The Habs' look is great, and could be used again. With this, it makes the logo pop out, and the white's contrast on black makes the look sharp. I DID decide on monochrome for this one, so calm down. The white is just a white version of the home, so nothing crazy.

No secret I loved the original blue and white Lightning set. I think with some tweaks, my team might be one of the best looking in the league.

Anywho, I thought it would be fun to piss everyone off and make some more teams Yzermanized. Just say that word out loud. It's fun. I might do teams from all over time, but I wanted to do some teams that are more modern. I thought it would be kinda fun, and I could work on my logo skills.

San Jose Sharks

No doubt I was going to use aqua. They were my first choice in doing this. I used to really like the current set, but now I keep finding things wrong with it. I love the simple design, and orange. I just used to like them more. The logo does look robotronic, and I'm not a fan of the full body shark either. So I wanted to simplify the logo, design and color wise.

I actually start backwards. Script, alternate, then primary. But I found a font, customized it, and moved on. The alt is an updated fin logo, and it looks like the one I sketched. Love it when that happens. Then the primary got me. I retraced the shark, and changed it up. I got rid of the stick because, you don't do that to your stick! It took me forever to get everything right, I didnt have the white highlight and tried doing things like that, but I ended up just reusing the one from the current primary.

The jersey. They need to be simple. So I did it. Two stripes like the 2008 Canada jersey, that was what I based it off. One major thing... WHITE PANTS. I wanted aqua. But I didn't want to go overboard. So I did something completely stupid, and never worn on the ice. Well, officially. Everything else is by the book. I did put front numbers, but that's the only crazy thing I did with the rest of the uniform.

San Francisco Bay Men

This is a concept for my fantasy hockey team. I realized how crappy that old set was, and how much better could make it... So I did my thang and made some logos and jerseys.I did want to keep the same basic primary with the man holding a stick. I retraced it, changed it for consistency purposes. The secondary is my Seals' SF logo inside a boat steering wheel. The font simply matched and is classy looking.

I wanted sleek looking jerseys, and I felt like I did it. The stripes are used on everything, and I kept it the same on the home and road. The alt is a Canadiens' stripe with the alt logo on the front.

Pro Combat 2011: Stanford

Last one. Stanford's logos don't have black. So I'm not sure why Nike wants it to be.

Red and green. Complimentary colors. I did a two stripe sleeve stripe, and to add some more, piping and having the sleeves a darker red. The numbers have little trees in them for effect. Lastly, the pants match the sleeves.

Pro Combat 2011: Oregon

Oregon's pro combats were a dark version of the National Championship game set. YAWN.

If you want to do volt, and black. Do something cool. Like me. I put more volt than the number outlines. The duck wings aren't a glossy deal, and the sleeves have the gradient pattern. The pants are a dark grey, and the numbers and helmet are a dark steel pastern. i forget what Nike calls it, but it's not just one color.

Pro Combat 2011: Ohio State

Am I the only one that hates Ohio State's uniforms? The helmets are shiny, the sleeve stripes are weird, and the pants are matte. No wonder I root for Michigan when they're head to head.

I wanted to do a modern twist. I added piping that ran around the sleeves and had a stripe that hasn't been done before. I made the shells and pants be matte, and gave the numbers two outlines. I tried to remain consistent with the striping on the sleeve pants, and socks too.

Pro Combat 2011: Navy

I did this before the actual ones were released, but they actually came out VERY similar.

What I went for was to look like an actual navy officer uniform. I gave them monochrome navy, a white helmet, and yellow stripes near the ends of the sleeves. I didn't want the goat logo on here, just because of how sloppy it is. I tried having a balance between white and yellow to keep it looking sharp, and I feel like it turned out like what I was going for.

Ottawa Senators FC

Yesterday, Tim from the6thsens.com emailed me with a little challenge.

He said that the Senators' new alt jersey looked like a soccer jersey with the chest stripes, and crests. I kind of agreed to that statement, and fulfilled his request.

I had more fun than I should've which is always good. I tried to make it more hockey like. I put reebok logos on it, made the shoulders have a yolk like a hockey jersey. I matched the jersey pants and socks, and put a Canadian flag on the sleeves for fun. Here's my concept.

I was looking at images for throwback, and some stuff from the 1959 team that was undefeated. The helmets had numbers, similar to the Eagles, with some modifications, I think I matched it. The jerseys are the same as the current, so I added gold for the typical nike throwback look. The old set had block numbers, but I matched the helmet font. You could say it was a "Feauxback"

The template I made has a default gradient sleeve pattern. I was playing around, and came up with this. I went for a Michigan State-like jersey pattern to continue the blue from the sleeve. The numbers match the sleeves, and so does the helmet, and pants stripe. Basically, I wanted more blue and orange, and did it.

Los Angels Angels

Alright gang, I've had this done, but forgot I never posted. LA's original team used a Dodger-esque LA logo, which you can see. I mixed styles a bit, with the font they used in the time period. The colors are a bold look like the team now. The primary is similar to my angel's concept, and there are obvious halos on the A's. I decided to go with the vests. My thinking was that if the current team had vests in their history, then this team's history would've too. Plus, no team has them yet.

Hollywood Stars

Another team that got cut out when the Dodgers moved west. The logos are drawn back to logos they had. The primary is roughly based off this

and the H-star logo on the caps. The scripts are cursive, similar to the ones that eriq posted. I did change the colors from navy, just to differ them from the Angels. On the jerseys, I didn't go with the ones eriq posted. I'm not a fan of that look at all, to be honest. I did a throwback piping that runs down the sleeve. I did have sleeves, but went against them when I posted.

Sacramento Solons

Sacramento Solons
Alrighty. The team name is based on an actual person Solon was a Greek law maker way back around 600 BC. Sac-town being the capitol, they have Senators, obviously. The term Solons is a synonym for Senators. This logo was based on the California capitol building.

So, keeping that motif, I traced a picture of it. I tried to make it sleek, like the National's capitol building. I traced, made it two colors(The gold part is a darker color, and I made it yellow for the scheme. Since it's a Greek term, I thought a Greek Wreath would be a good add on. I kept the S cap logo from the time period, because it's pretty classic, I guess. The font is just a simple font, because I felt that matching it to the cap wouldn't work with the primary. The colors are used from the 1970s team, which trotted out in these.

The jerseys are loosely based on the link. I didn't want to use racing stripes, so I did a jersey like the Phillies' road set. It was a pretty simple design, I thought. On the caps, I gave them a yellow bill, when yellow became more prominent in my set. I thought of doing a Seattle Pilots wing look, but that wouldn't have existed!

San Francisco Seals

So far, this is my favorite. The team is one of the teams that got screwed over when the Giants moved west. The team is traditionally navy and white. But I have seen logos with orange. I thought that would be neat, so I changed the old orange to a darker rustier orange, like the Golden Gate Bridge. The primary logo is a circle logo, simple, but I traced a seal logo, and made it modern. If anyone wants to see it up close, I have no problem with looking at that logo again. The SF logo is a modern version of the one they used. The two letters are drawn. Same witht he script. I've never done a script like that. Well, I did do my Dunedin Scots, but I did this one better. I went with orange with navy outline, because lighter with a darker outline looks better. I brought back the pin stripes, and went pretty simple on them.

Seattle Rainiers

One of the oldest teams in the league. Seattle had the Rainiers from 1919-1976. They almost played every year(not 1968-1972), partially due to the Seattle Pilots. The team was named after the nearby Mount Rainier. I wanted to include that in the logo. I changed the colors to a more pacific north west scheme, from the original navy and red. The color is a dark green, with the lime green and blue from the Sounders. I made an arched script, sort of a reference to the mountain. The Primary is the script with the mountain over it. The jerseys are simple, piping on sleeve jerseys. The number font matches the script. Instead of a grey jersey, I decided to take the green, and make it have a grey tint. So that is what that's all about.

Vancouver Mounties

This team moved from Oakland(Oaks) to Vancouver for the 1957 season. The logo I had in mind first was the MV cap logo you see. That was what I was excited about the most. That logo is what I based the set off of. A simple look with a block font. The primary logo I'm indifferent about, and I'm open to suggestions. I used a simple block script, and made the middle letters smaller just to change it up. I used red a lot for the jerseys. The caps were ALMOST khaki. Just kidding, but that would've been cool. They're red, and as you can see red with black accents run throughout. There is also a maple leaf on the sleeve.

Pacific Coast League

Alright. So here we go. I wanted to do something that is new, something different.

I was looking at this stadium website, and I came across a page with temporary stadiums. They included stadiums for the Dodgers and Giants, before Dodgers Stadium, and Candlestick park were built. The teams there were the Los Angeles Angels, and San Francisco Seals of the Pacific Coast League. I researched the liked what I saw. Some cool identities could be made, so here is what I made. The PCL was a very strong AAA ball league. The 8 team league was a league of their own, pretty much. The farthest west the MLB was in 1957 was in St. Louis. So with the closest team being over 1,500 miles away, they did their own thing. The Sacramento Solons actually did not have an affiliate for 1957. When the Giants and Dodgers moved, that scattered some teams, to Places like Phoenix and Honolulu. Teams like the Padres and Angels got their name from the PCL teams.

But what if the league decided to break ties with the MLB, and be their own pro league. Sure, there are some aspects of this I really didn't think out COMPLETELY. But here is a basic rundown. I'm making sets for teams from 1957. The logo has a palm tree and a mountain, for the south, and north pacific coast. Also note my cool 1950s template based on Chevys of that time.

Winnipeg Jets Concept

I'm not a fan of the currents. I like what they went for, and it was just poorly executed. Nothing says hockey. It just looks like clip art. I wanted to change that. I wanted to make it more hockey friendly. I made the primary idea, the alt. With a few changes, obviously. I looked at Davidson's looking on how he worked his jets. I decided to use the Thrasher's shape, and put a jet in it. I decided to make the plane have a lighting effect on one side. I went with a stencil font just because I like what O'Brien is doing with his concepts with this font. But I'm gauging responses, and could change it.

The Jerseys are a simple design, and the alt is a throwback to the Ottawa RCAF Flyers that won the gold medal at the 1948 Olympics.

CFL Pro Combat Pt 1

You heard me.

I've done a NFL series before, and I thought it would be fun to do some CFL concepts. In alphabetical order...

1/8 BC Lions
I didn't want black to be a major part of the jerseys, like the all black alt. These two follow the home and road sets. I made a sleeve design complete with piping. I put the alternate claw logo on the sleeves, so there wouldn't be 3 BC logos visible from the side. Also, the logo when backwards would habe the letters backwards. The numbers are located on the sleeves. Lastly, the pants were meant to match the jersey.

2/8 Calgary Stampeders
This was the last one I did. I like piping, there I said it. But not just piping can be found, I put a shoulder stripe running front to back, studded with black circles making them seem like horseshoes, inspired by the unused alternate logo. I thought the numbers worked well with the set, and it just happened to be the Broncos' set. I decided to make another set with the nike triangle gradient on the sleeves. The gradients are also on the pants stripe.

3/8 Edmonton Eskimos
I changed the logo. NO BLACK. I didn't realize how bad the logo looked like that. I deleted all forms of black. One thing that works, is the Packers' yellow/green/yellow/green. I didn't like how they had green monochrome, so I matched it with the packers. The sleeve stripes remain the same, and I threw in piping to separate from the Packers. I also didn't put yellow outlines on the numbers.

4/8 Hamilton Tiger Cats
I decided that a yellow jersey would be very nice. I gave the set tiger stripes, giving it it's own feel. Tiger stripes should be prominent in this set. The yellow socks make the leotard look a non factor. On a unrelated note, I think the Tiger-Cats have the best logos in sports.

CFL Pro Combat Pt 2

5/8 Montreal Alouettes
A throwback. The current sets are a mess. Absolutely terrible. I did give them a similar look, with different sleeve colors and underarm/shoulder stripes. One thing you might notice, I changed up the logo set. I changed the colors to Canadiens' colors, cleaned the logo, and returned the AM logo. The helmets return to white, from silver. I chose not to have outlines to match the old sets.

6/8 Saskatchewan Rough Riders
I went modern with this set. The mesh cuts are black, with white trim balancing out the green. The under sleeves use the wheat pattern fond on the logo. I used the Miami looking two tone numbers on this set, because one team had to do it. The pants stripe matches the jersey pattern.

7/8 Toronto Argonauts
The jersey is fairly similar to the currents. The only difference is the Nike gradient used once again. I returned the Argonaut logo, which would be a good return with the right colors. I really like the two colors together.

This is another return to retro set. I made the logo more retro, excluding outlines, with a new set of my own. This follows the Oregon State sleeve stripes, which would look very nice. The chest did seem rather naked, so I threw some piping on.... I have a problem.

Just want to say, there are no actual rumors about the team joining the MLS, this is all for funsies.

In the "Top 3 soccer crests" thread, I saw how amazing the Ft. Lauderdale Strikers logo was. I was jealous, because they're my home team's rivals, and our logo kinda stinks.

So last night I started sketching a logo. I realized that I do soccer logos better freeform on inkscape. I really didn't have any aspects to keep other than green and yellow stripes, a star for the NASL championship, and the team name. I decided on a home plate shape crest, just something simple. The old and new team both had green/yellow/navy color schemes. I decided that I could change that. I swapped navy for a darker green. I've never made a soccer ball using shapes, I would always find clipart or something, but I'm glad I did for this. I made a cool soccer ball similar to most teams these days. The years on each side are the years the Rowdies were first founded.

The jerseys are a mix of the currents, and old set, but mostly the old set. You know what? Just look.

My friend Neil from Minnesota and I were talking about starting a design company deal. Try to promote ourselves, and make some cash. His nickname is TC, and we were coming up with things that it could stand for(Such as Top Cat). We started thinking, and he said if we ever go into business, our name should be MTC, and it could mean anything. I said, “Why don’t we?” We decided we would make logos for the new company, and get back to eachother. He went to bed, and I went to work. The next morning, I messaged him this logo on facebook, and he responded, “Fuck you.”

What is Yakball?

Yakball is a sport I made up, which is gaining popularity with kids in the area. My goal this summer is to found a 5 team league consisting of students from 6 high schools in the Tampa Bay area. Before the concepts, I shall give you the rules.

Basic Rules
4 players on the field, per team
Four 10 minute periods in a Yakball game
Goal of the game is to bounce the ball into the target, a 3 by 6 box 4 feet off the ground
Most points win
The ball is in play, even after points. Once a point is scored, the possession is changed, and play is resumed behind the 2 point line
The playing field is broken up into 3 zones, 2 point zone, neutral zone, and crease zone.
A game ball is a Volleyball
The playing field is 36 feet wide at the wall, 56 feet wide at the far end and 56 feet long
Play is opened by a faceoff, one occurs at the start of each half
A crease is a semi-circle in front of the target, no offensive player is allowed in the crease.
The crease zone comes out 16 feet from the wall, and players with possession cannot move when in this zone. They can rotate on a pivot foot, however.
A shot from behind the 2 point line in the 2 point zone is worth 2 points
A foul results in a Penalty for the team, a 4 on 3 advantage for the team who had the foul commited against them.
2 passes must be made before a point is scored
Hitting is allowed, but nothing to the head and back. Legal hits are only to the player with the ball.
Fouls include: Illegal hit, tripping, catch interference, 5 second rule, and crease violation.
A ball that goes out of bounds is a change in possession, and results in an inbound.
Only throwing the ball, and heading the ball counts. No kicking the ball into the target.
The Center must remain in the box the whole game, unless subbed.
When a shot is taken, only one player non center can be in the box. 3 or more players in the box on a shot results in a change of possession.

Positions
Center- The player near the crease. He will be there to clear up space for the other players, defelect shots into the target, and even block shots. A big tall person would play here.
Enforcer- The player at the top. The catalyst of the offense, the player who does faceoffs, and runs the offense. A player with a sharp shot would play here
Left wing- The player to the left of the box. A left wing would try to get open shots by running around and getting open. A right handed player would play here.
Right wing- The same type player as a left winger. A lefty would be play here.

Stats
Point- A shot that hits the wall inside the target
Assisst- A pass before a point. If the scorer has the ball for more than 5 seconds, then there is no assist
Deflection- A redirection of a shot by another offensive player. The player shooting gets the point, and the deflector gets a deflection
Block- A block of a shot
Rebound- Gathering of a loose ball after a shot
Hit- A check to a player with the ball
Fouls- A penalty resulting in a uneven situation

Now, to the concepts. Being a non-school related sport, I thought making logos made sense, plus it was an opportunity to work my skills. The teams are the Dunedin Falcons, Palm Harbor Hurricanes, Tarpon Springs Spongers, East Lake Eagles, Countryside Cougars, and Cavalry Warriors.

Florida Panthers, inspired by the Predators

Let me explain.

I saw the Nashville Predators' new set, and I just went YESSSS. I've grown as a designer, and really have become drawn to simplistic logos, or atleast simplified versions of logos. I cannot wait for a Lightning-Predators game, if you're still confused.

That being said, I've had trouble coming up with reams to do logos for. I kinda came up with some ideas, seen here(which I'm still working on, and you'll see eventually) And I was looking at the NHL logos, and realized immediately needed it the most.

With no primary changes in their team's history, the Panthers seem to be stuck in the edgy 90s. I wanted to go with a fiercer, smoother look. First off, I changed the colors. A deeper red and blue, with a bold yellow. I pretty much traced the logo, and did my best. For almost every point, I made it rounder and tried to just get away from the jaggedness. Really, the only parts that are like that are the teeth, nails, ears, and the chest detail. The alt is based off the FLA logo, and the palm tree logo. Here is a comparison.

On the jerseys, I did what more people want, bring back the simple striped red jersey. To be honest, I don't like the old jerseys. I just don't. I like the currents a lot more, in fact. But I do think red is the way to go. I love the way the yellow pops on the darker colors, personally, so that is why white is only on the numbers. The navy alt is the same template, with the alt logo on the front now. I didn't put hem stripes just because the balance of it would seem weird. I love when stripes on the sleeves don't have torso stripes.

But no one reads discriptions, Ohhh! concept!

Thomas Bowl logo request

I got a logo request a while ago, I thought I emailed him with some questions, turns out I didn't. So I got an email wondering what's the deal, got all the information I needed and went to work.

Basically, the Thomas Bowl is a family football game around Christmas in Dayton, OH. The game is presented by Dr. Pepper*, and the teams playing are Ohio State, and Johns Hopkins. I did a fairly generic logo based off a logo I was going to make for the Citrus Series(Rays-Marlins). So here it is!

5/7 Edmonton Oilers
I NEVER choose to go retro with this concept, but I thought when I made it on inkscape, it looked so good. I darkened the blue and orange, and brought back the roughneck logo. The current homes remain the same. I matched the road to the home, depicting the Gretzky years. Finally, the alternate is an orange version of the home, which would sell well in Edmonton, at like, the mall or something.

6/7 Calgary Flames
I'm not a fan of the throwback, or the current, but the current could be improved on. That's what I did here. I tried simplifying it, no crazy stripes or anything. The under arm is full black, not crazy. Two simple black and yellow stripes on the sleeves. The roads are a white version of the home. The font is also block, instead of the italicized ones now. The new alt is a black version, which reminds me of the days with the horse logo.

7/7 Vancouver Canucks
Last, the Western Conference champs. Instead of all this whale/Johnny/Ice rink mixmatch, I went with one. The choice was simple, Vancouver Orcas, Vancouver Ice-something, Vancouver Canucks. The V logo is the primary, with the running Johnny as an alt. No silver is used outside the logo, and I used a navy to go with the blue-green northwest feel. I decided to put yoke piping to balance out the top with the simple stripes. Finally, the green alt with the full body logo because he's wearing green! Simple as that.

1/7 Montreal Canadiens
You can't change much about the Habs. I mean, you could match the home and away, but I felt like keeping it the same. The way their jersey is unique and clean makes the set just gorgeous. As an alt, I wanted to do a blue jersey. I wasn't really a fan, so i threw in a retro concept from the 1909-1910 season, as depicted in the 100 year celebration year two seasons ago.

2/7 Ottawa Senators
With Canada being the hockey mecca, and the Ottawa Senators being a team around in the 1920s, there isn't a good reason to have that modern of a template. As it's been done before, stripes, with the roman design to tie into the now primary side logo. I chose to de-clutter it by not having a waist stripe. The alt is a faux-back using the current logos to represent a jersey from the first Ottawa Senators.

3/7 Toronto Maple Leafs
One thing many people on here want is the bringing back of the retro leaf logo. I did that to an extent. I just love the way it looks compared to the clip art-y leaf now. I replaced the off center block font with the current modern font. The home and away couldn't be approved upon, so why change? The Alt is a throwback to the days around 1940. Not an actual jersey, but close. 4 sleeve stripes, and a 2 part yoke is used. The pants were tan when this set was first around, so it remains.

United States of Sports

Even though in the original post I said "This is a map of the USA made of sports logos. I couldn’t put every team, but I purposely didn’t put yours.", people still complain about not having teams like the Warriors, and White Sox.

I wanted to keep the whole set purple, orange, and yellow. THat was a big factor. The jerseys are kinda ugly with all the grey now. I wanted a more abstract feel with the swooshes on the side panels. Nothing overpowering on the sides, so no big stripe. The same design can be found on the pants to add some flow to the whole set.

That's what I have now. I might do some more for sure.

Not much of a change from the current, but a change was there. I eliminated all grey on the jersey, and made it a red and black team. That gives the whole set a more Canada feel. The current has 2 slashes on the side. I put three, just to match the logo. Really simnple work here. I used the unused script that matches the logo, instead of the current.

I didn't realize till I did this that the Mavs changed their dark jersey to royal blue until I did this concept. What I did, was add green. That is really the only MAJOR change to the logos. I wanted to expand the colors of the league, like what I did in the MLB. I made a new type of piping, somewhat similar to the Nike college basketball jerseys.

On the Cavs, their logo angers me. It has navy, and a weird maroon color. If they want to go maroon and yellow, use it throughout. I am a big fan of the navy LeBron era jerseys with the dashes. I brought that back, but only used the two colors. THe road is in two colors like the ones now.

The last team is my least favorite.

The primary logo now is about 75% red, but there is hardly red used anywhere else. I replaced red with grey. I did that, but had navy more prominent. I only used one NY logo, unlike the 4 they use. Also, the scripts are the cursive, but that wont be needed for my jerseys.

Iconic pinstripes on the home, but the road, I put pinstripes with an NY logo on the chest, basically a darker home. Simple navy alt logo that in reality wouldnt be used much.

I found out that the White Sox and Tigers use basically the same font, so I went retro with this. I loved the Chicago script that they wore in the 70s, so I tried to match the Sox logo with a similar font. The alternate uses an update sock from a primary logo used in the 50s and 60s. It is surrounded by the diamond in the current alternate. The primary IS the cap logo, like now.

The jerseys are also new. I decided against pinstripes, just to be different. So no pinstripes and the design used on the black alt now on the sleeves and collars. The numbers match the scripts, and the front numbers are on line with the logo. Also notice the white socks! With stirups!

I got help on this one from an ACTUAL Twins fan!

I think the current set is great, but could be changed. The primary, I just got rid of the Minnesota Baseball Club circle, nothing special. I like the current TC logo, but I thought of a way to maybe tie it in to the set better. The T from the Twins script fused with the wishbone c to make the new cap logo. Minne and Paul shaking hands on a logo for a patch on a sleeve. Then a new idea for the Minnesota script on the roads. TC suggested a slanted c on the cap but I wasnt feeling it.

The jerseys have some of the current influence, then some of me. The cap logo is all the same. So is the home jersey, pinstripes just work. The numbers have the shadow and such like the script. The roads also have pinstripes unlike the roads now. The names have an outline to seperate. the alternate just has red piping on a navy jersey, basically the current alt.

MLB2: Detroit Tigers

Now, this might be a little radical. I moved away from the classic Tigers look, and took it into a direction I thought would also be cool. I like the D primary logo better than the D on the cap, so I used it here. I also threw in some outlines to tie it in with the other logos. I realized the cursive scripts weren't doing much, and there wasn't any old English scripts yet. The primary is a throwback to the logo from the 70s-80s. Finally, I used the turn of the century tiger head as a patch, and on the primary. But everyone does that, since its awesome. On the scripts, I put only one outline, to simplify it.

I kept the current chest only piping. I also wanted to implement the colour orange more than they do now. The caps have the same pattern with a white logo on the home and alt, then orange on the road. The alt is navy on navy, that seemed to work best.

Complete rebrand ahoy! So for this there is a lot of purple. I think everyone can agree its for the better. I went for a western font, and a really simple concept, just updating things. I updated the mountains, and the primary is the same basic idea. The cap logo is a simple C in the same font, with a tertiary logo with the mountains. I dropped silver completely, just making them purple and black. I got rid of the pinstripes, but kept the purple going on the jerseys. Howeva, the caps are black like the current set. The numbers match the scripts, too.

The cap is green to go with the current navy. The road scripts are now red, instead of the throwback blue script. I decided to not put names on the back to go with the home's retro feel.

I normally am one to like adding black when it looks good. One case is the Reds' look. I always add black. I saw some concepts of the reds with just red and white. I noticed something that I would do different. Basically, with the logos, they're the same, but without black. The jerseys are simple, i guess. The mistake I saw on everyones was that NO ONE put a white outline on the road numbers. It separates the two and makes them more visible.

I needed a better script, and a better hat. So I see what they have in their past. The previous logos were onto something, but it was lacking something. The current one is really nice, but it could be added to. I decided to tilt them, and to be honest, it adds a lot. I kept the current scripts, taking out the sun ray. Using the same colour scheme with this one too, but replacing black with dark green. There really was no where I could put a ray in that primary without looking forced. I'm up for suggestions, but nothing wowed me. here is the new work!

The last jersey, they just seemed boring, and needed more green. The Rays used vests before so its no big deal on this one. I based the script colour choice on the number/outline combo. Other than that, these are similar to my concept on page 2.

Looking at a poster in my room, I focused on the Rangers for some reason. I noted that they have the same hat, with 3 different options. They all had a T, with a blue crown, and 2 had a little hint of red. One thing that sucks is that they use a pretty solid T logo, but use a weird script, with many outlines. I cut those down, and went with a font that would match the new cap logos. The primary is a badge, for the rangers. I added lighting affects, and the shape of Texas. Speaking of which, is an alt logo.

The jerseys are revamped. i like the vest look, and my thinking was that it'd look good with this particular scheme. The numbers are simple MLB block, no need for something fancy. I offered 3 different caps, too.

The focus on this concept was yellow. I took out all red, and replaced it with a color used a lot, but not enough. One thing I noticed was that the primary logo does not match the home script.
The scripts and numbers are similar to the padres. The popping yellow, instead of a yellow outline. One thing i also did was bring back the vests, and have black sleeves. Now, on the alt, they are black vests with sleeves.

I LOVED the maroon and light blue scheme, so I brought it back. There's really nothing ground breaking to do with this team. The primary is the shape of Citizen's Bank park. I made a home plate like some stadium logos. The bell included in this set also resembles the bell tower lights in the park. Same old P logo, and script. I WANTED to do a Philadelphia script, but its way too long for a jersey.

I nearly took away the pinstripes, but found they had history when the team won their first championship. The roads are suppose to resemble the currents, but with different stripes. The alt's were light blue, but now they are maroon. Note, the sleeve patch is the numbers from the currents. BUT WAIT, under hem now is the bell. Does that work?

MLB2: San Diego Padres

I'm continuing to get rid of the blues in the majors. This is one of the easier teams to do that. The padres use to have a sweet colour scheme in brown, and yellow. I just HAD to bring it back. But thats it, I kept the current logos. I made the swinging friar more prominent in the set. Consistency was also lacking. The only script with a drop shadow was the Padres one. What I did was use the same effect on the cap logo and the San Diego script.

The jerseys are a little different. Simple piping, and scripts match. The insides are yellow, and outsides are brown. Maybe hard to see, but they pop more. The road is sandy, because the gray clashed too much with brown and yellow.

MLB2: Baltimore Orioles

I wanted to do a throwback to previous sets, and I think some new things, mixed with old would work. The orange is slightly lighter, I wanted a lighter set as a whole. I used a Oriole head logo instead of the full body. This was the one before the well known one, look it up. I like the Maryland flag logo as a sleeve patch. The primary is the same logo with the bird head on it. Also, I put the O's logo on the bird cap for effect.

I really like the O's jerseys now, but I'd make a few changes. The piping is the same, but the O's logo is on the cap instead of the bird. The road is the same, with the bird logo on the cap. I made an orange alt instead of a black alt. I went with white things, with black outlines instead of the other way around. Also made a concept cap to make it lighter.

One thing with this series I tried to do, was explore other colour combos. The NL East currently has 3 red and blue teams. I decided to make it just one in the world of raysox(see the Phillies). I was toying around with red, bronze, and an off white. It needed a darker colour, anything but blue. I tried black, and maybe a darker red. Then I tried brown, and it looked fantastic. I really like the first scripts as compared to the cursive scripts that match the W. I used those as you can see. I wanted to make a W that matched the scripts, but I really couldn't stray away from that classic logo. The primary is a combination of one of the logos they had, with the capital building.

You know how some teams have double piping on their jerseys, well i did the unthinkable. BAM TRIPLE PIPING. No neck piping or anything, just sleeves. The home match the off white from the logo. The names and numbers match the scripts. Thats pretty much it

The Marlins will move to a new stadium in 2012, and they plan to change the name to the Miami Marlins. Also, a changing to orange and black. I also changed the colors, and not the name. The colors are more creole blue, moving away from the aqua. I dropped silver, and recolored the marlin on the F. The F is now blue, instead of black. The script is two tone, adding some effect.
The jerseys are pretty simple, with sleeve piping. Blue is used a lot with the numbers and piping. The alt is mainly blue. Like the rays, the script is the same color as the jersey.

So I've seriously had this idea since the start, and never really figured out what was wrong. I figured out that the font was just lame. So I moved to a more Agency type with the newer rebrand. I dropped the aqua-ish colour, just for the fact that it's basically a new team restarting. I did have seahawks colours, but dropped the lighter blue. I liked the compass logo deal, so I kept it around, but put an anchor on it for the marine theme. I learned how to do that with text too! So I honed my newfound skill and made a new script. If you remember what I said about Detroit's jerseys, I hate jerseys with just piping on the chest, not the sleeves. Piping is now on the sleeves. For the alt, I tried to include some lime green in there more than usual. The contrast makes it pop on the navy.

Quick, name one thing thats wrong with the current set. If you said everything, and not just the black, then get out. I kinda like where they were heading, they just messed it up along the way. Main thing, is the lack of blue. I say, go blue, and light blue. Coincidentally that's what I did.

The primary is a tilted version of the current, with blue bevels. I threw in navy for a darker colour. The cap logo is the same, but I added an updated version of the beloved first set. The current road has a script and number set that have nothing to do with anything. I brought back the original Toronto script from this era and threw it on here. The jerseys I did put a little piping on the sleeve and neck so there was atleast something. The alternate is a light blue a la retro, and a white front cap with the sleeve logo. Enjoy it!

I went to a Rays-Indians game recently, and the whole time I was noticing how lame the Tribe's set was. Chief Wahoo has random strokes on the feather, and teeth. The outlines are inconsistent, too. I have a Wahoo vector, but it was beyond repair, that means I had to trace it all by myself I fixed everything I mentioned, and added some white to the feather as an update. I dropped the block script/cap logo. I used the cursive fonts, with the C from Cleveland in a new hat logo. Simply a C with the feather. Lastly on the logos, I made the red more red, than a pinkish colour. The jerseys aren't much different. One thing I noticed was the NOB were weird in the sense that there was too many layers. Though, it looked better this way. For some reason, I thought they had a navy alt with the primary logo on the chest, turns out they didn't. So I just made one!

MLB2: San Francisco Giants

Keeping it basically the same with this, but making it my own. A few major things, instead of drop shadows, I used dual outlines on almost everything. The primary is probably a hit or miss, but the bottom is the baseball from the current, with the team name, and golden gate bridge on top. The bridge was the main focus for a logo I've done before. It's the G from the script, with a section of the bridge in the middle. Then, FINALLY, I made a script using the same font that says San Francisco. It may be a bit cluttered, but dammit, I finally got a logo like that done.

Onto the jerseys. The same striping style, but the sleeve piping is moved up slightly, not on the edge. The caps are the same as the currents, with my logos. The road features my new script. Here it is!

Simplifying a simple team. I took out the red in the logo, so no red ball. The primary is the same, put on a diamond similar to an old Dodgers logo. The LA is the same, then the patch is the primary with LA. The jersey now has sleeve piping, and no red numbers on the front. Really simple and clean look.

So for the fun with colors thread, I was going to see what the Dback's identity in old colors would look like. Not much of a change, but it'd be interesting. So first I change the red to teal. Then stop and went woooooah. I thought it looked really cool. I replaced the sand with a bronze like the first one, basically making them the Arizona Rattlers of the AFL. I changed pretty much nothing, except match the outlines on the scripts, since Arizona has a thicker script, and it didn't look good. Simple jerseys, double piping on the sleeves unlike the currents. Then I used the previous number font, since it was more edgy, and thought it was a better fit than a font that is somewhat similar to impact. I tried to not make them seem like the marlins too much, and thought it worked. So here ya go!

I didnt really want to change the Cubs much. I made the blue darker, instead of adding navy. I also dropped the C logo. What I used, was the C with the walking cub logo. The scripts are a font, to keep them consistent. "Chi-ago" and "ubs" are in this font, and the center C in Chicago, and the C in cubs is the logo. The cub face logo is on the sleeves.
The jerseys are somewhat different. They are in the same font as the script. The back numbers are now red, with white outline. Currently is blue and red, which looked weird as shown. The new cap logo is on the chest. My road script is on the grey jersey, and has red numbers to match. Lastly, the cub face is on the chest on the blue jersey.

I love the Cards' set now, the thing is, their package isn't bold. It's plain red, and navy, then with a weak yellow. I took that into consideration and have a product I'm happy with. The yellow is much darker.I basically used the same primary, but with the arch from the allstar game logo. The birds on bat logo is the same, but I added a St. Louis one for the roads. Kept the StL, added a bird head, and the primary without Cardinals for a patch.

The jerseys are my favorite. They have a badass retro jersey with piping running up the sleeves. The current has no piping what-so-ever. This also plays into the bold affect. The road caps are the same as the home, instead of the current navy.

I like the current scripts, colors, and cap logos, but I also like the old barrel guy. I mixed the two with this concept. One thing, I did NOT use the ball in glove logo like EVERYONE who has ever done a Brewers concept ever before. The current cap logos and scripts look great so I used them. I made a B cap logo for an alt cap. The barrel man is a must, it is just soooo awesome. The primary started out as stripes like the barrel man. But it looked odd. I just had a plain white home. I like the current numbers, so I used them with the same shadow effect. No weird names though, just plain block. Here. Look at it. Now.

I'm glad I changed the colors from royal blue to navy. Much better.

So just some things, I LOVELOVELOVE the A tomahawk logo. That's the primary in this set. I thought it was a simple replacement for the script primary, it just seemed too wide. I also replaced the yellow with a peach-y colour, just to see how it looks. I thought it was pretty good so you we it here. The Atlanta and Braves script remained, and I added Georgia under the A logo as a sleeve patch. The jerseys are really the same for the home and alt. I think they have one of the best sets in the league. HOWEVA, the blue alt they use now sucks. Why don't they just make the jerseys like the shirts they sell? Well. I did.

Big change from last time. I decided that I wanted to change the D-backs colors, so that opened up the red-sand color scheme. I didn't change the logos. I think they have a very solid look with the star logo, and western type cursive. The premise was to focus on red. It is apparent in the jerseys. The red caps are full time, with red scripts and numbers. The road is now a sand color, rather than grey. That's pretty much it.

Not sure about you, but I like the whole white elephant story, and I think it's a shame that the elephant isn't used much. So I brought it back! BAM. I just ran the script over the ball on the primary. I also like the A's cap logo I used better than the current, like the Tigers logo. I got rid of the outlines on a green background, just because white outline with yellow is weak. I had to do something with the A's jersey. Theres no design on them now, so I threw some piping on the sleeve cuffs, but thats it, no neck. I really like how it turned out. Also only used one cap, instead of many caps without much difference.

I changed a little since I did this concept last time. One major thing was making them the Anaheim Angels, and not Los Angeles. I took out the LA logo, and script, and brought back the old road script. The primary is a home plate beveled like the A logo. I think it works and adds to the "A" primary. From last time, I changed the jerseys. The last ones were vests, with red sleeves. I decided to make them full jerseys.

MLB Redesign part dos

So I failed at trying to finish all the teams in one redesign. I put it off for a while, and never got back. Since I ended it, I've gotten better, tweaked my template, and made a plaid background. I ended up putting all the old ones on here, maybe changing them a little, but a lot of the same. I ended doing 30 concepts in 15 days. ENJOY.

I like the new logos. But I would make changes to the jerseys. Delete all black, add victory stripes, change the font to match the St. Pete Times Forum, and get rid of the TAMPA BAY on the white jersey.

Dunedin Scots

Hey gang.

I've done this concept before, but not on inkscape. Here was my last concept.

Basically, I'm rebranding the Jays' A ball team from the Jays to the Scots. Dunedin has a lot of Scottish heritage. The high school band plays bagpipes, and there is highlanders on the town welcome sign. So when I was in Scotland, and I caught myself thinking about this. It could be better. I started sketching it, and I realized that I had some things that I hadn't done. I added detail to the beard. Just a little scruff, but it adds so much. I changed the colors to a more Blue Jays scheme, with dual blues and black. The Script is custom. I had it in mind for a while, but couldnt get it worked out. I tweeked it for about 4 days strait, and came up with that. The bagpipe logo is somewhat silly. It has been called the "batpipe" logo. The bats are the pipes, yeah. I added shadow, and fixed the rope from my original. The jerseys have simple piping, and outlines. Then for the alt, I made a Jays-like cap. Enjoy!

New Jersey Dynamite

I got a request to do a logo set for a youth baseball team in New Jersey named the New Jersey Dynamite. First colors I thought of were red and yellow, so i went with it. I didn't want to, but the font I overuse looked really good for this, I think. I made the logos, then realized that there wasn't anything dynamite-y. I added a wick to the I. There is 2 cap logos, one with an NJ, and then one with a D, and the state of New Jersey. Simple jerseys, with a design on under the sleeves.

He sent me a logo he drew, it was a block-y, so this was basically a concept that wont be used. But I thought it looked good. I'll keep you posted.

Fantasy baseball concept! I updated an old concept of mine for the fantasy league I'm in. I composed a legitimate primary logo, instead of just a mug. I put a script on it! The script is slanted like many baseball logos are. I thought brown and green would look great for something Seattle and coffee related. Not much to say really. ENjoy it.

I'm on a hot streak!

I had this idea for the Stars. To move the team on from the Minnesota days, and rebrand with a Texas feel. I made the star similar to a Texas Ranger badge, same design on it. I wanted to give it a badge feel. The St^rs aspect still remains, because in reality, it's pretty sweet. The alt logo is Texas in the same style of the primary. I wanted to include more green in the jersey. It's all black now, but green is unique in the NHL. I ended up using black sparingly, just to add colors.

Colorado Avalanche

Hey guys! I'm in the mood for some NHL rebrands!

On NHL 10, I'm the Avalanche on GM mode. The more I looked at their uniforms, the more i noticed things that bugged me. So why not? Make changes

To start a total rehaul, you have to start from the top. I thought that it'd be cool if the A had mountain features, like you see below. The same avalanche motif exists crossing the A, but coming from a now capped mountain. THe snow has jagged edges to match the mountain. I also changed the colors. They use maroon/blue/black/silver, thats really too many colors. I dropped the silver, and made the blue light blue, similar to the Colorado Rapids.

Here is a basketball uniform that I just completed. It is the uniform of my elementary school, which was a private Catholic school. I used the styles of the uniforms we had, but updated them a little and added alternate uniforms. Since we were the blazers, and our logo was lightning, the alt. gold uniform was meant to look like it was covered in clouds. I gave the blue alt. uniform the Catholic school plaid on the inserts

I do like the plaid alt. I mean the ideas there! With practice, he could get the program down easy.

Tampa Bay Lightning Concept

Gentlemen.

So my team, the Bolts, got new digs. They aren't bad in my opinion, just bland. The more I see the logos, the more I like. But the jerseys are boring. Well, not so much boring, as not fitting. 2 teams use a scheme thats color/white. Detroit and Toronto, both teams from the original six, have simplistic designs. The Lightning were formed in 1991, so theres not much history. The reason they did, Red Wings legend Steve Yzerman is the new GM. He wanted a simple design like the one he knew in Detroit.

Not that these are better, or that I want them to change logos. But if they were all like "Hey Michael, make our logos." I would've done this. Simple with black and silver reintroduced. The victory stripes remain, like the Lightning jerseys of the last 20 years.

Big East Lacrosse Project

5. Rutgers
One of the next teams that actually play D1 lacrosse. I wanted some black in here just for balance. Pretty basic design, like everything Rutgers uses. Though it is modern with the under arm design, and piping.

6. Providence
6 of 7 teams with a team. I went grey helmets, black jersey, and grey pants. I limited the white to the piping and words. I decided to make the road jersey grey just to be different, and its light enough.

7. USF
I based these off the football jerseys a little. Those have the horns on the collar, like what I did here. I went with gold helmet and pants unlike the football team. The same font is used just to tie with every other sport they have.

8. Cincinnati
A while ago, I did a bearcats concept with slashes like this. I kind of really liked this look, and didn't want to use adidas templates. I thought the all black with red piping looked cool.

CBL Identities

I can't believe I've never shown you guys this! I run a sim baseball league, completly by myself. I've made Identities and everything for the 5 teams currently playing, and the 6th expansion team. The Original 4 were Austin(who has changed identities for Season 2), Orlando(Who has beat all the predictions and about to make the playoffs.), Portland(Season 1 Champions), and Virginia(About to make their second playoff appearance). Omaha joined my league this season, and Montreal will join for Season 3.

NHL Fauxbacks 1

I was playing NHL 10, and was thinking about what jerseys to use, and I thought to my self, the Lightning don't have fauxbacks. In fact, a lot of teams don't. And for funsies, I made these. I will go division by division making old styled uniforms, for current NHL teams. So whatchya think?

Panthers
A few basic things changed to start. All of the colors changed. The electric blue became bluer, the black is now a dark navy, and the silver is a different shade. The blue jersey differs it from the rest of the nfc south. New scripts, nameplates, and numbers introduced, with a panther slash effect. Slashes are located on the sleeves, and pants. The numbers were dropped to the underbase layer.

Bengals
I wanted to go orange, but didn't. A lot of stripes are the reasoning for the saying "earn your stripes" The helmet stripes(hah!) stayed the same, then was transfered onto the pants stripe, and sleeve. Orange was prominent on the white set more than black, to make a sort of "white tiger" effect. A return of the Bengal head logo on the neck.

Chiefs
I went crazy here. I used the gradients again. The outline after the black was changed to yellow from white, which made the logo pop, and added a color to use. Black piping coming from the neck hole, running around the sleeve. The actual sleeve runs yellow down onto the underbase which fades into red. Black was mixed into the numbers. The gradient pant stripes come up again to match.

Raiders
Hard to change anything. The same effect on everything, dark silver and black give a mean look, and will satisfy the black hole. I did keep the flywire black on the white set for contrast.
