Fan Art!?

So I got some fan art in my email courtesy of Jack! He is trying some baseball teams, and here are his first two.

here are two of the teams in the Eastern Division. The first team is the Durham Bulls. (They are promoted from Triple A to my league) and the second is the Montreal Musketeers. I have 11 teams out of 32 done so far

Remember, ideas can be just as valuable as the presentation. So don't get on his back for hand drawing these. Sketches are how great concepts are started. I'm sure if he had the resources, he could do some cool work. So look for more of these!

Lacrosse Concept Challenge

 So I got this email asking for help

Hello Michael,
I'm Jack Goods, I write over at InLaxWeTrust.com as one of the top box lacrosse writers. We are working on a new project that we will be unveiling soon where we are creating our own fake lacrosse league from scratch, having people vote on the cities and then team names. Then we will have a contest where we have people brand the teams with logos. Its similar to what Icethetics did. i know you have an audience of graphic artists and I was wondering if you could help us get the word out. Its a great opportunity for designers because management from the professional lacrosse franchises read the site and someone's work could catch their eye. Thanks for considering.

More Fan Art!

Hey guys, Donald is back with another concept. This is for the Pitt Panthers. He liked the old colors and script better than the current, and thats what he went for. So, he tried to style the uniforms like to old uniforms that used these colors, but update it a little.

So here is a concept done by a fan named Donald. Here is his discription.

Here is a basketball uniform that I just completed. It is the uniform of my elementary school, which was a private Catholic school. I used the styles of the uniforms we had, but updated them a little and added alternate uniforms. Since we were the blazers, and our logo was lightning, the alt. gold uniform was meant to look like it was covered in clouds. I gave the blue alt. uniform the Catholic school plaid on the inserts

I do like the plaid alt. I mean the ideas there! With practice, he could get the program down easy.

Moar Fan Art!

Hey guys. Our friend Jon sent in some more concepts for the Big 10! This time it was Northwestern, and the Gophers.

Northwestern, he put some steeler stripes on the sleeves, and added a black alt. He put the N logo with a wildcat on the shell. Hmm if you comment, and point out anything else do it.
Gopher time! So some Colt type stripes going on here, instead of the crappy piping. The one thing that sticks out is the cool yellow alt. Pretty creative there. He made a white helmet, which is new. Pretty good if you ask me.

Fan Art!?

Hey guys, I have some fan art I never posted!

One is an old concept from my buddy TC over at The Clubhouse. I'm sure he forgot he did this... It's for my team, the Rays. Their current alternate jersey has blue wording, on a blue jersey. He changed it to white on blue.

Not bad. But I think I like the blue on blue more, to be honest.

Next is a concept for the Illini. This was done by a student at THE Ohio State University. Sorry, I forget your name. With this, he did a pretty out there concept. He used a spear logo, which doesn't look all that bad. Personally, I think it's better than their current piping nightmare.

He said he was going to work on some more Big 10 schools, and I waited for another email. I haven't gotten one, so I decided to post it.

Alright fellow SLS-ers. I have some announcements. I'm 1 concept away from posting another set of NCAA jerseys. Then I'm gonna take a break from that, and work on one of the coolest concept ideas I've ever had. It is also a collaboration with our sister site, The Clubhouse. Look forward to that.

Korbyn Redesigns the CFL pt3

Hey everyone, I have the third part in Korbyn's redesign series. Today his redesign is for the CFL Eastern division champions, Montreal Allouettes. Like I've said before, I hate the Al's jersey, and he made a good update on it. He also changed the primary to the bird head logo. I think he did a good job, hope you do too.That's all he sent to me so far. Speaking of Montreal, I'll be leaving for Montreal this Friday, and won't be back for a week. So hopefully Kevin will post some more NFL concepts. Speaking of the CFL, the Grey Cup will be played while I'm up there! So I might do a couple of concepts before Friday so comment, and stay tuned.

Korbyn Redesigns the CFL pt2

Hey everyonme, part 2 of the new series. This redesign is for the Tiger-Cats. I like the jerseys they have now, but I think Korbyn did a good job redesigning these, so enjoy!I really like the Tiger head logo he used. Back again with some fan art! First is a 3rd jersey for the Phoenix Coyotes. Last week, Chris at icethetics posted a leak of the jersey, check it out. So our friend Anthony made a concept, using the 2 new logos.Kinda sketchy, but it's cool, I guess. Next is 2 concepts for the NCAA, by CammaD, over at Touch Down Design. Fan Art p1

Hey guys, I have some fan art for you today. I have 3 concepts today, all by a guy named Anthony(GoCubs2212). Hope you like. First he recoloured an A's jersey to bright yellow.ahh my eyes. He sent another concept for the Miami Marlins, since that will be the new name, after they move out of Dolphin Stadium in 2012.The last one he sent, is a concept for my Tampa Bay Storm. He changed the colours from gold, and navy to yellow, and black.I'd have to get use to it first. Ok so thats all I have for right now, I'll try to do a RtMLB series sometime. Also I want to ask a very good designer if I can use his concepts. Stay tuned.
