I made a map of the USA using sports logos for tumblr. I thought it was a fun idea, and got it done pretty fast. Even though in the original post I said "This is a map of the USA made of sports logos. I couldn’t put every team, but I purposely didn’t put yours.", people still complain about not having teams like the Warriors, and White Sox.

New Jersey Dynamite

I got a request to do a logo set for a youth baseball team in New Jersey named the New Jersey Dynamite. First colors I thought of were red and yellow, so i went with it. I didn't want to, but the font I overuse looked really good for this, I think. I made the logos, then realized that there wasn't anything dynamite-y. I added a wick to the I. There is 2 cap logos, one with an NJ, and then one with a D, and the state of New Jersey. Simple jerseys, with a design on under the sleeves.


He sent me a logo he drew, it was a block-y, so this was basically a concept that wont be used. But I thought it looked good. I'll keep you posted.

Using the videos from right hurr, I made the following. For the animals, I drew a Lion and a Panda. Just cause. Then, for the player, I drew Steven Stamkos.

World Cup of American Football

Just never posted this, and came across it looking for some concept!

So I did these back during the WC2010. I thought it'd be fun if there was a high profile American Football World Cup. Basically, just the US styling on everyone. I just listed a bunch of teams that could maybe possibly fill a team. I got a few, and ended up doing just 7. I'd just like some input on this, and not let it go to waste as the last day of summer for me is here. Sorry the logos are kind of lame...

Racine Rhinos

My friend started a womens football team up in Wisconsin. He requested a logo set on the boards, so I decided to take a chance so make logos for 100 dollars.

Well I thought I'd give it a try, since Burmy and I are friends from Minor League football, I contacted him, and he said I could give it a shot. So I found a picture of a Rhino statue, since it fit what I wanted to do, and went at it. I tried to make it different than the Grand Rapids Rampage logo. One thing with the logo is that, it looks mildly irritated than just pissed off. I made the logo once, then inkscape crashed and I didn't have it saved. The script is modified Kremlin, I thought a blocky font fit. Then he said somehow he'd like the shape of Wisconsin worked in, thus explains the alternate mark.

Slapshot concepts

Here's the lo down. I watched slapshot, and was amazed by the jerseys, and decided to make a league out of the teams. I would put each team on an rbk edge template. I did 2, and never went back. Here's the Chiefs, and Bulldogs. Enjoy!

Trifecta Competition

Gah, I've been waiting to post this forever. The competition was to take a city without a franchise in a major sports league and make a team. I entered as the Tampa NBA team. The top 2 concepts advance to the final round, and I actually think I have a shot to do this.

I never do basketball concepts so this was a dificult one. I looked at NBA logos for inspiration, and worked them into my concept.
The team is the Tampa Tide, because Tampa is on the water, and water has tides. I used a beach-y colour combo, with navy, light blue, sand, and orange.
The jerseys are pretty simple. I made a sand alternate for sunday home games. I also but the players names under the numbers, like how the allstar jerseys are.
So can I get C&C on this? Hope I get to do another concept for you guys.

My NAKA team

On the boards, a competition was started. It was create, and brand a kickball team. So I entered, and I came up with a concept, that HAS to be my favorite concept I've ever done. I named my team the Tampa Blaze. Tampa means "sticks of fire" in the calusa language, and I referenced it. It also is a play on Tampa Bay. I actually sketched my first sketch of the logo in like 5 minutes, and went on the computer, and finished my set in like an hour. So heres my concept!I couldn't show you guys this for the longest time, but voting started today, so I guess I can now. I'd also like to mention, I have recieved votes for this!
