Footy as Football - Leicester

The LEAGUE LEADING(until ManCity played) Leicester City is nicknamed the foxes. I've always wanted to do a fox logo, and this would be a unique opportunity due to the blue and yellow scheme.

The side of a fox is a really cool shape, and the color balance is super nice. I like how the white underside pairs with the orange, so in logo form, the logo would just work out.

The jerseys reminded me of the Tampa Bay Storm, but I think that's just the colors. Since Leicester have white shorts in real life, I figured setting it with a white helmet would look really nice and balance with the blue. Pretty simple striping pattern too.

Update - Added some scruff to the fox

Footy as Football - Newcastle

This was one of the originals I drew up when I first thought of this project. Newcastle's nickname is the Magpies, due to their white and black color scheme. I love the look of the actual bird, so I was excited to make this logo. Their scheme really pops, so that was fun to play with.

The logo is an angular bird that looks similar to the Atlanta Falcons logo. I needed to show the back of the wing with the white and blue, and I felt this was the best way to do it.

Their kits are white and black striped, so i thought the best way to show this would be stripes like the Colts have. I threw silver into the scheme just because I couldn't decide on white or black, and the Panthers made that work so far.

Update - Swapped silver with white

Footy as Football - Swansea

So I have a soft spot for Swansea due to some close friends liking them, and their attractive soccer. Also Wales is great. I love the white and black stunning look they have. I nicknamed the team the Jacks because "Swansea Swans" was repetitive, and I could pass it off like the Buffalo Bills

So I wanted a smooth and elegant swan logo. So it's a swan looking back with a wing, and it's rear end. It's hard to fit the extremities of a swan into a forward moving logo, but I thought the streaks gave the wings motion.

The kits are all white, with black trim. This year, the South Welsh side introduced copper to the kits, so I did the same with a stripe running to the collar.

Update: Added a Welsh flag to the helmets

Footy as Football - Arsenal

So while I wait for Civilization: Beyond Earth to download, I decided to use some of my short time not working to post a bunch of these concepts.

So Arsenal was easy, I just was going to update the cannon and match the kits. The cannon is pieced together from the current cannon, the Blue Jackets' cannon, and my concept for Charleston in the US Soccer 2030 project.

The uniforms match the typical red with white sleeves. I used blue as a trim, and threw in some white stripes to balance it all out. The fonts match the Puma font from the world cup, and since Arsenal is a Puma team, it seemed fitting.

Tumblr Championship

During the application process, we got 25 applications. With the top 6 only getting in, I felt bad for the majority of people who wont get to play. Our Premier League is a head to head league, so it could only have an even amount of teams, and I'd have to facilitate the weekly match ups. So I had the idea for a second tier. No promotion/relegation, but an opportunity for people to play fantasy EPL. I had tons of fun last year, so more people, more fun. It wouldn't be head to head because 24 new teams would be ideal. I(Dads FC) would be participating just because I was the admin. Since 25 teams was an odd number, it'd be a classic "most points wins" style league. So here are the teams! I did all but 3 teams' logos, so I had a lot of practice.

ADHD Athletic - Applied as Botswana Vegan Commission, but rebranded since the name was too long. The owner suffers from ADHD

Bigfoot United - Purposely blurry, with an image from that famous Bigfoot video in a roundel

Canine County FC - Simple logo for a paw, and the best color scheme in the league

Celadon City Slowpokes - Slowpoke ontop of the Celadon Gym badge

C.H.E.L.S.E.A. FC - Chelsea in the style of the Friends logo

Dogs FC - Two golden retrievers in Detroit City colors, holding up a shield with Detroit's flag

New Jersey Flamingos - A flamingo over NJ for a Spurs fan

Flavor Town FC - Guy Fieri face

Diego Gloucester FC - Highlighting Diego Costa switching national teams from Brazil to Spain

Great Character FC - Facebook meets an old West Brom logo

Kirk FC - Logo by JimmyN64, setting up for a kit similar to Captain Kirk

Koala Brothers FC - A angular koala over a hexagon, similar to Wolverhampton

Mantis Shrimp Athletic - Unique colors to match the shrimp with a cracked ball

Mediocre United - yawn

Moosen FC - A recolored version of my Minneapolis FC concept

Mt. Mutombo - by BrandonAxelson, a parody of the Denver Nuggets logo

Pepsi FC - An opportunity to use that great script PepsiCola logo

Poolboy SC - The logo with a bulge and a 6 pack

Queens Park Raisins - QPR with a Sun Maid box

Rainbow FC - A rainbow sash on a beveled roundel

Red Birb City FC - I literally put this owner's bird on a soccer ball

Spaceship! United - A reference to The Lego Movie, with a mix of Seattle Sounders

Tacocat FC - This palindrome logo was done by JimmyN64

Ylisse FC - A logo for a Dragon Age fan that they walked me through completely

2015-16 Tumblr Premier League

So last year, I started a fantasy EPL league with a 13 other friends I know on tumblr. Check out the logos from last season.

http://boards.sportslogos.net/topic/100247-tumblr-premier-league/

It was a great season, other than my team being last till January, then I won 10 of 11 and worked my way up to 11th. Looking forward to this year, for my performance, and the new teams. We got a big following, and opened up expansion applications.  We were looking for 6 members to make it a perfect 20 teams. Here are the 6 teams that were added.

Seinfeld FC - George Costanza holding a bat from a screenshot of a Seinfeld episode
Spartak Cena - John Cena denim meets Spartak Moscow
Trust Fund FC - A logo for a ManU fan soaking in their parent's money
West Bird United - For everyone's favorite Canadian bird mother, inspired by Norwich
Points-R-Us - A giraffe in the style of a rampart lion, the goofiest logo I've ever made
Rose City Rockers - A mix of the Portland Thorns and The Ramones
